The songs of Paul Simon (and/or Art Garfunkel) as you’ve never heard them before…

For the third in our series of “Reinvented” shows, The Coveryard COllective ransacked the extensive songbook of one of the 20th century’s most influential songwriters (and his frizzy-haired frenemy).

After two years away, we were homeward bound for two successive nights, back in the halcyon period between delta and omicron: harmonising with old friends and long-lost pals in the beautiful environs of St John’s Hoxton until late in the evening.

Featuring brand-new arrangements from seven different arranger-performers, our set chewed up hits from S&G’s folk days all the way up to Paul Simon’s worldbeat experimentations, spitting out a motley combination of disco and country, synthwave and madrigal, and proving once and for all that there must be 50 ways to play a cover.

The Coveryard performed at St John’s Hoxton, on 25th & 26th November 2021
